As religious leaders question Jesus for spending time with "tax collectors and sinners," Jesus draws a surprising connection between the healings He has performed and the company He keeps. "It is not those who are healthy who need a physician," Jesus says, "But those who are sick. I came not to call the righteous, but sinners."
